Orange Amp Problem
Discussion
Hi Guys,
My Orange amp has stopped making any sound apart from a humming noise when turned on. This does not change no matter what is plugged in or where or with what cable. Could some one advise me as to what the problem is and how to fix it if I can.
Thank you
PS: The model is a "Crush 20L".

Makes no difference what any of the volume or other settings are at its just a consistent noise. Also it sits on its own stand on some paper to reduce vibration and does not get moved so I don't think there is any problem with that unless a bug or something has got inside and started wrecking stuff.

Sounds like the speaker cable has come unplugged. Take the rear of the amp off (if it's a closed back) or simply look at the wiring at the rear where the speaker is, there should be a clip-connecter wire that connects the speaker to the portion of the amp that has the knobs on it. Check it's a tight connection - this very thing happened to my Fender DSP 90. Hum, no difference in hiss or tone of the hum regardless of knob position etc, clipped the cables back together and voila, instant fix.
