Wont appeal to everyones taste with the interior. Bear in mind there is a very good chance it will need a rebuild at 30kish, i think it is expensive for what it basically a standard (all be it late) Mk 1

Does seem a bit pricey. I might know of a newer one with less miles for a lower price whistle

Their warranty is a bonus and second to none. They may be willing to haggle wink

I don't think it's overly expensive. £20k sounds about right.

It comes with a 12k service - £1k plus?

12 months warranty - what price a years piece of mind?

Or take your chances on a private car at £16k needing a service and nothing you can go should the engine go pop on the way home.

Pretty much sums it up.
From pics, looks very, very tidy - as I'd expect from the guys at STR8six.

Re: the warranty, Jason is absolutely a man of his word. No ifs, ands or buts, if he says he'll do it then he does.

Worth a test drive - - would add that the interior would not be my first choice. Black leather will burn your bum when the targa is off and it's sunny (if we get any this year!!)

I have an 02 S and was told by very reputable dealer that mine should be insured for about that sum.
Prices seem to be on the rise.

I can't agree more. I bought my Tuscan from str8six. It wasn't the cheapest one around but their warranty and reputation are really second to none. Anything came out within the first year. They just sort it out no argument. My service bonnet hinge was broken ( not sure how). Jason just fixed it without a word. He could've said " ah you hit something and nothing to do with us" There was a minor component he couldn't order it in time due to Christmas period. He asked me to go back if I really wanted to. It was so minor that I sorted out myself afterwards. He said he would make it up for it. he kept to his words and foc for something else for my next service a year later. He is that kind of guy you are dealing with. How can you put a price for that I would argue.

I have to agree. Having been to Str8Six and met both Jason and Chas their approach is outstanding. And their reputation is deserved.

I am not mechanically minded at all really, so peace of mind of worth a lot to me and why I would probably be wary of buying privately. I always told myself that when the times comes, if I got a pre 2003 car, it would need to have had a rebuild. However seeing how many are still on the original engine and the miles they have covered, it is quite reassuring. All relative of course!

I will still have a pot growing for a rebuild thoughboxedin

Thanks B7NNS.

And congrats on the new wheels. A real beauty.
