I am also going to matt black/ red lettering my cover. You have good taste. fk everyone else it's your car.

I want to do it in that black wrinkle/crackle type finish and then gloss red the letters.

It all depends on what you want to spend.
I have seen some fantastic quality covers at wheel refurb centre as they can strip and paint em any colour you like.

I will polish mine as I have a spare so can just take my time.

I pay no heed to what others say as its my car and think you should do same in my opinion.

Mine is a black mk1. I think black or grey with red lettering would look nice. I also think the cam cover painted Ford mercury grey with black lettering would look stunning!....

£60. Think that would look sweet. I think the black letters would contrast better and give better definition, but red, as long as it was a red red, not an orangey red, would look really good. Please do it, mercury grey is a lovely colour, it would look amazing!!
