Our shocks could do with replacing and I would like some help with what options are available, I have seen Evo & Gaz but don't know how they perform especially in long distance races

You'll have to make your own decision but to be legal they have to be steel bodied, single adjustable and oil filled. Not especially easy as most are ali bodied and gas filled. There are a lot out there on all sorts of cars that do not conform

I know Protech will build to order

Just a quick word of praise towards Protech, they were great at sorting out my dampers for my mk2a, good price, made to measure, quick delivery, easy to deal with. Haven't used them in anger yet, but have used their shocks on race kit cars and worked well.

Cheers all.

Hi Granny fan, could you give us further details (part no) of your new shocks? Or were they specially built on your order?

Specially made to measure, they will send you a form to fill in, showing distance of full bounce and droop, size of pick up points. Pick up points are quite an odd size, lower pick up M10, upper 1/2" bsf if I remember correctly ????

Would recommend giving them the sizes of your car specifically as might be different from mine. Good luck with it all.

Cheers.
