3 week re-commissioning and now STUNNING!!
Discussion
New to Noble ownership although I have owned most things over the last 20 years and still have a few toys now.
Took this in a deal against a very highly modified Exige in January and initial work is nearing completion.
This was WES7Y's old car (5 speed 3R with LSD) that he bumped in 2011 (not his fault!). None of the damage was structural and a new rear clam, body repair (to rear of drivers door), wishbone and tie rod were the only parts that required replacing. Much to WES7Ys despair his insurers wrote the car off a Cat D!
Car has covered 18,000 miles but I have factory confirmation that the engine was replaced under warranty by Noble at 3,000 miles so it has only done 15K.
The car is fitted with:
Re-sealed floor,
As new Tuxman spec Protech suspension,
Track day sump,
Full stainless steel exhaust system,
Uprated (M400) fuel pump,
Fuel pump wiring mod has been done,
Upgraded return fuel line fitted (no more vacuum issues),
I also have a new set of Mountune valve springs but haven't fitted these yet.
Just been fully detailed including the engine bay and paint correction.
Rear spoiler, stantions, front splitter and mirrors have been painted in gloss black and the car looks amazing!
Seats have been re-connolised and look near new.
Just collected back from Phoenix Motorsport (Accrington) after full corner weighting (14 stone driver), geo set up, brake fluid change, oil change, new Pagid pads and health check + good going over.
On inspection one of the original 3R wheels was cracked near a bolt hole so a set of 2,500 mile old M12 5 Spokes (as NEW) have been fitted (I still have the 3R wheels).
Should be off to Jetstream soon for a bigger intercooler, valve springs fitting and remap to 450-500bhp!
What do you think guys? - bring on the summer.

Ref gearbox - I am planning on installing the sequential box that was on the stand at Autosport.
I know Tuxman from his Ultima days (I have had 2 of them) and the box is being tested and hopefully released in late summer.
Until that time the 5 speed box will have to last but I won't be abusing it anyway.

If you are looking for a bigger intercooler there is a pro alloy group buy on here at the moment with a good discount .
Enjoy the new toy !!

The chassis number is SA93MR2M3B113R016 so I am assuming that the "3R016" means my car was the 16th 3R produced?
I can confirm that this is an early 3R, and have this on the register as belonging to Craig Wallace (r10crw) from October 2012, so did you buy the car from him in January this year?Daisy
I did indeed buy the car from Craig.
Prior to that it was owned (and crashed - not his fault) by Gary West (WES77Y) off this forum who had the car from 2007 until 2011. Gary bought the car from the previous owner who was from London.
Does anyone else know any other previous owners?
In between Gary losing the car (insurance Cat D) and Gary buying the car it was being rebuilt by a Land Rover dealer apparently after he had bought it off the salvage company.
Thanks.

Car collected last night (I was away last week) from Phoenix Motorsport.
She has had (£939 worth!):
Full service (boy the TDS holds a lot of oil!),
Brake fluid change,
New front and rear pads,
Full corner weighting (14 stone driver),
Fast road geo set up,
Protech shocks all set as per Tuxman recommendations for bump and rebound,
Car has been gone over basically.
Handling is now sooooo benign and predictable.

Used the car on Monday for the commute to work (we open bank holidays!) as the weather looked like it would be a dry day for the first time for ages and I didn't need to carry anything (normal daily is a 702 bhp V10 RS6 Avant load lugger).
This is only the second time I have used her since buying her in December!!!!!
Why is the British weather soooooooo rubbish?
The drive to work was fantastic as the roads were empty (06:30) and the car is set up perfectly for times like that. Sods law but the rain returned late afternoon so the return trip was no where near as memorable.
It also looks like I am going to struggle to get her out on track this year with work and sporting commitments (mine and my 2 sons) so she is stuck with a life under a dust cover in the garage.
Not how I planned Noble ownership!

Well it looks like I may be returning to the GTR camp again!
Had a serious (630bhp) R32 many moons ago followed by a mental (OSG 3.0L + sequential) 750bhp R34 the a new R35 in 2009 but that one stayed pretty standard.
I never fell for the R35 but that was down to not modifying her.
A mate of mine is now selling his R35 SVM 800R and a deal may have been done.
She won't be staying at 800R for long though as a few choice additions should see her pushing 950-1000bhp!
Call me boring but I prefer grip ang grunt over balance and handling so the 3R will unfortunately not be staying.
Cheers
Nick

Well that was a splash and dash of Noble ownership. But great news for me for, once you have done the deal and then realised what a mistake you have made, I'll gladly swap my 3R for your Gumpet, you can keep the GTR, sounds like a great deal to me
enjoy the Datsun.....................

what exactly is a 800/900hp GTR worth ? do you think it will be a difficult car to sell and subsequently a bargain ?
