Riding into an easterly wind

Scenario:

I have an option of a 90 mile ride from st Ives to oakhampton on Monday.

Problem:

Weather on Monday is set to be dry and sunny but with a cold wind coming from the east at 20-25mph. As I am going east I will be going straight into a headwind all the way. It's set to be about 4 degrees centigrade as well.

Question:

Should I do this or will it a sufferfest too far? I did a short 20 mile ride east today into a 15mph NE wind and the bike was being blown all over the place by gusts. It was unpleasant and cold!

What would you do?

1. Are you not scared of failure, and do you have a get-out clause if you crack and end up crying on a verge somewhere? If so, try and see how far you get.

2. Are you at least confident of doing the distance in normal conditions?
