I am looking for a set of Factory headlights (the upper pair on each side) for my spare front clip.
The old one's I removed had got corrosion to the reflector so I am looking for an "as-new" set.

The lower spots are fine and I will be using LED indicators so it is only the upper lights I need.

Anybody got a set sitting on the shelf?

Apologies for the slight thread diversion, but what's the plan for the new front clip, Paul?

CBS don't seem to have what I need.

The plan is simple. I am just going to make my old factory front clip fit with my chassis mounted splitter using my hinge points.
When it's finished I will be able to swap front clips in about 3 mins. 2 pins and the electrical connections and job done.

I do like a choice....

The Ultima one's are 100mm (or 102mm). I have the hella 90mm lights on my current clip but want standard Ultima one's on the rebuilt clip thanks Craig.

how early is your gtr front clip? I believe that they changed the original lights used, which were a motorcycle arrangement. Which i think is what is fitted to the old front clip lying in my trailer atm... need to check whats fitted to the other car before I offer to sell them though.

My car was originally built in 2000/2001.

I am confused now - are you saying that the current Ultima one's are not 100mm?

The original Ultima lights consisted of a pair of fairly basic "motorcycle type" lenses, about 100mm in diameter each, joined together in moulded plastic, which fitted in the top two holes. These were OK on main beam, but hopeless on dip. I believe they were intended for LHD cars because they had bits of tape on the glass, similar to that which you fit when taking a RHD car abroad! The lower high beams/spots were 100mm units. Also the headlight covers on early cars had shallower indents than those cars with the updated lights.

Interestingly, just before I finished building my car the factory sent me a set of replacement, lower wattage bulbs for the headlights because the lenses had "melted" on one of the early factory cars!

Here's a picture of my original headlights, separated from their "twins". I used the other light as a high beam in my new setup (second photo).

My originals had no tape on them.

I think a call to the Factory tomorrow is required for a history lesson!!

Thanks all

Paul
