Hello all.

The old girl seems to be developing a stutter towards the upper end of the rev range. She will pull beautifully and clean up to around 5k rpm but then hesitates almost as though the engine has hit a rev limiter. Change up and it pulls cleanly again. Any ideas where to look first?

Thanks.

Throttle pod's or worn throttle bodies (check for clearance shaft/housing)

I had exactly this problem and had str8 six do the roller bearing upgrade on the throttle bodies. Runs really nicely now and pulls like a train all the way to the red line. ( I assume. Ahem..)

Just a thought. I have some hesitation at high revs and have just had the throttle body conversion done.
Ran yesterday right up to all three lights and there is a stumble.
I think its wheel spin ! Vehicle runs all the way up the rev range and I think it is loosing traction at near max revs in 2 and 3.

What do you think?

Thanks for suggestions. Cliffords, definitely not wheelspin in this case. She will light up the rear wheels in third if it's a little greasy but the revs flare of course, rather than the stutter I'm getting here.
