Well I had a fantastic day out today. Thanks to everyone involved, we really enjoyed our first TVR meet.

I haven't got time to sort through my pictures tonight, but hopefully other members can post up pictures here!

Dan - Blue Chimaera 400 parked by the bollards outside the main entrance.

Ps. I'd also like to thanks Mark from Blitz Racing for his help today and free diagnostic check. Very helpful and I've adjusted my idle this evening. Much better now! I will send you the money for a cable.

I haven't got any pictures to share but if you own the Chim in the loudest car competition (R154XPX), what have you done to your exhaust, it sounded great.

The winning Tuscan was just too loud for me (I must be getting old...)

I was supposed to be in that final, got a phone call asking me to pop round the front - was 2nd place with 128.9 from the heats but I had to leave at 1 so unfortunately couldn't partake. What were the winning figures?

I think it was about 127 (but I'm sure I'll be corrected).

Having said that I think when the recordings were taken round the back in qualifying the cars were slightly louder than when the final was moved to the front b

The Tuscan was LOUD.

It was a good day
I stood on the main entrance for over 4 hours and it'll be at least Wednesday before my toes defrost
Good to see so many great conditions TVR's
Unfortunately, mines still in its winter hibernation, so I let the side down and came in my Audi

I take it this was by Kemble airfield? Not a TVR owner, just an admirer, was just saying to the Mrs as we passed the airfield that I'd seen more TVRs that morning than I'd seen so far this year... then it became obvious why, great sight!

I think that's totally awesome, but... I wouldn't want the word 'Corvette' visble in my engine bay... Apart from that... bow

Absolutly, lots of good work in that conversion spoilt by the Yankee engine covers. And they're only bits of plastic aren't they?

Top man hehe

Have to ask, how do you get on with traction? power from that lump must easily exceed the traction limits of the 'standard' Griff? Ask because I'm experiencing traction probs, (all manageable with the right foot) but wondering if you've made any changes to compensate?

Cheers, Chilli smile

I agree traction is an issue, I can't get anymore rubber on the back I currently have 255's don't know what else to try, so far I've usually rolleyes been able to manage it with my right foot, but the car does wriggle about under hard acceleration. I haven't been round yet but have had a few opposite lock moments so I try to get all the wheels pointing in the same direction before opening the taps, when you get it right it does make you smile biggrin .

I had a good nose around your car on Saturday, it's a beautiful looking thing and a super well engineered conversion
I had a drive of a chimaera with a similar conversion last summer, and although traction was a problem, it made for a fun time and the progressive nature of the ls engine delivery made it much easier to control than similar power SC conversions I've tried too
Rear lights looked fantastic on yours too. Nice touch
