Bonding with my car
Discussion
I thought I might share this experience with you .
Early this morning ,on a beautiful, sunny, crisp spring day I had some male bonding time with my Aston.
It's a black DB9 Volante with cream interior.
I have spent the last hour gently giving it a soapy wash.
I am not blessed with lots of mechanical knowledge so it is the only way, apart from driving, that my car and I can bond.
It's a time when I can fully appreciate the beautiful flowing lines of the car,as I gently move the soapy sponge along it's fluid bodylines.
It is somewhat fitting that on this Easter Sunday I can share with you thus quasi- religious experience .
Happy Easter to you all,
Steven

Now, I do this for a living, but after reading that, I felt dirty lol. Maybe Aston can bring a book out for like minded individuals called 50 shades of tungsten.
Glad you are loving your car though mate.
Ha Ha!Glad you are loving your car though mate.
I thought 50 Shades of Grey WAS the Aston range brochure. Wondered why I kept seeing women on the tube with it.
Glad you're enjoying the car and some dry weather OP.

Thanks Paddy.Glad you are loving your car though mate.
I always read your interesting posts. Great advise and helpful tips. Maybe it's the Viagra that heightens the experience.
If you need a mate I might be available .
I really enjoy washing and polishing the car and then standing back to admire. It offers an instant gratuitous experience that is hard to replicate in my humdrum ,six day working week.
Took your advise Yeti and went for a drive, albeit not very far ,it's so bloomin' cold that it's not worth going to the coast or countryside.
As the car is black I find that it needs a wash and polish as black always looks better shiny.
I don't understand Speculatore's comment on a gearstick, perhaps it is a joke that I'm missing.
As for Jockman, that's no way to treat a lady.

Hi, It just that I waited almost 2 years to get a Manual DB9 with Sports Pack... I really wanted a manual car after 8 years with my XKR.
After XKR and DB7 automatics, it had to be manual for me too
Don't regret wating at all, was well worth it, and even harder to find a Volante that wasn't >insert exciting adjective< grey!
