yamaha as500 or would I be wasting money.

I currently have a set of b&w 602 speakers mated up to a technics a600 amplifier and a denon 2800 dvd player. Nothing particularly wrong with the set up as whilst be no means are they fantastic components they do work well together and its for a fairly small room about 20 feet by 16 feet. Getting annoyed now though that the amp doesn't have a remote control as brought a tv into the room as well which is run through the am.
Question is then, should I just get the yamaha as500 amp and be done with it.d the other option I have thought about s the arcam solo neo as not sure how good my denon dvd player is at cd's as some reviews put it as very good others as only adequate.

Dont want to waste money by spending my re money than I need too or by buying something which brings the only gain of a remote control.
