Mobil 1

Just had my V8 Roadster serviced at a main dealership, and noticed they'd put a complimentary litre of oil in the boot. Mobil 1 10/60, which I presume is what they also used for the oil change. No more Castrol Edge then. Anyone else had this?

I think it has always been Mobil 1 for the V12's ........the V8's are fine with a bit of washing up liquid or cooking oil

I think the Mobil 1 and Castrol Edge oils are pretty interchangeable, with one as good as t'other.

So long as you pay attention to the 0w/40 and the 10w/60 you appear to be fine

I've NEVER been given a free litre with a service. I would probably sell it on ebay if I was

Check the invoice. You may well find it has been charged for - most franchised dealers do but it's not always obvious. May show as 1litre separate from main oil quantity

Halfords have a good offer on oil at prresent, I'm going to pick up some Mobil 1 0w 40 tomorrow.

spotted that once and gave them it back for a refund of £25
