Afternoon gents.

I sometimes get slight hesitancy when changing up accelerating through the gears.

It's happened a few times when I change from 1st to 2nd when I initially press the accelerator, also happened from 2nd to 3rd.

If anyone's got a diesel with DPF it reminds me of how the engine behaves when it's doing its DPF cycle.

Car is a 997.2 S.

It's recently had a major service (month ago).

Before I bought it a few weeks back it had been driven 1000miles in 1yr and before that approx 28000 in 3yrs. Not sure if it's had the HPFP replaced, no problem starting.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is the one from the opc you posted about that you recently bought?

If so, it's under warranty, just take it back?

It is indeed. To re-cap that story, the missing service history was a salesman error. It has in fact had 1 minor and 2 major (over-serviced as a result of this error for a 4ish yr old car with 30k).
Anyway, I intend to contact the OPC but the bank holiday put paid to that til tomorrow. Incidentally I only noticed this fraction of hesitancy over the weekend and additionally it's in the 1st quarter of the accelerator's range of motion, if that helps with a diagnosis.

If this has happened since the car was serviced, I'd firstly check that the intake hose between the airbox and the throttle body has been refitted correctly (assuming it was removed). This hose is a real pain to get back on to the throttle body (due to very little space around it) and can end-up folded-over on itself round the bottom of the t-body. This causes an air leak that leads to exactly the symptoms you describe.

Thank you Ian, that's helpful.

Incidentally is there a Haynes type manual for the 997.2? Anything I can buy printed or otherwise would be handy, if anyone can point me in the direction, I'd be grateful.
