Anyone had a look at the car for sale on ebay which is also up for Auction near Teeside?

Not inspected......... but based on the repairs I am doing to mine which is also crash damaged, and looking at the photographs of this one on the auction site,there is considerable damage, I would say its going to cost an arm and a leg to put right.

Wings, Exhaust, screen. wasn't sure if one back wheel was forwar of correct position.
Would have gone over as its not too far but the time/day restrictions mean I cannot get out of work to do so.

front suspension(wheels pointing diferent directions)?, wishbones? rear suspension wheels out of position, possible chassis damage,A frame, possible de dion tube, fibreglass and new body panelling and respray and thats what I can see - added to what you have found its quite a few K's to put this back on road or track.

thought the front wheels alignment were a trick of the photo, my old 7's always appeared toe out in pics.

rear: would the trailing arms bend before chassis & de dion?
(Mine have all been live axles).

car was up to £4700 when I looked, its an 09 plate - no idea what they are worth. no idea what the engine & box are like of course, doesn't look like its been upside down, more through a hedge (or two).

The reserve is 6900 on fleabay. My trailing arms snapped but dedion tube well bent.

Sold for £7050 plus 5% plus VAT = £8883 ?? I find it hard to beleive that represents good value, but good to see it saved. Wishing the new owner all the best, maybe we'll hear from him on here?
