PS3 controller on xbox and Vice Versa

Me and a friend are massive whingers.

I'm an Xbox fanboy and he is a PS3 homo.

We can't play xbox games because he loses and then comes up with excuses. Is there a way you can use the controllers on each system and vice versa?

I'm the same with a PS3 console - Rather use an xbox controller.

Probably plenty of cheaper chinese alternatives out there. See whats on ebay. That's just the first thing google threw up.
