A large chunk of metal blew out of my exhaust.

The large piece is about 2 inches big.

I think the catalytic converter needs replacing. Have any of you come across a sports catalytic converter? More free flowing than a standard. I didn't want to fully de-cat in case I start getting complaints from neighbours and the hassle at MOT time although I know it would sound wonderful fully de-catted.

I will search on the internet but just wondering whether any of you already have a sports cat or know of a good one for a T350.

I had/have them on the Tamora, they only just scrape through the MOT, you have to get the car extremely warmed up to pass the emissions test unless you have a friendly MOTer.

Hi Getsis. Thanks for the feedback. I was planning on having these installed. When you say they "just scrape through the MOT" then doesn't that mean it passes which would mean you don't need a "friendly MOTer"?

You're making me nervous. I'm wondering whether to cancel my order.

It will pass you just have make sure the tester understands that the cats have to be "very" hot, I had to explain to the tester (not a TVR familiar garage) that it will pass, it took him 3 attempts to get the correct figure. It was a cold day when tested and did not go in straight away, the first 2 readings were just below the acceptance mark.

OK thanks, I understand. I also noticed that your car was a 4.5. Does the bigger engine lend itself to risk of higher unwanted emission?
