thanks for your replies. I have booked it in with Phil Wood for a couple of weeks time. I have insured it from tomorrow at 12 & will tax it tomorrow ,so now all ready for when the weather brightens up - just need to give it a good wash now , after hibernating in the garage over winter. best regards , Doug

Just to throw a spanner in the works I live near Brentwood but drive to Dan Taylor in Aylesford. Not a direct criticism of anyone closer to me but he's worth the drive in my view.
I'm in Hutton, not seen you out and about
I've used Hilton and Moss, Dan Taylor and Phil Wood, no complaints with any of them.
Re-reading my comments I should clarify that I've never used Phil Wood or H&M so I am definitely not criticising them. I suppose I am biased towards Dan as he well and truly saved my bacon after I got stranded at Goodwood last year with what turned out to be an electrical gremlin. He sorted me a recovery truck and took delivery of the dead car at a few hours notice to save me having to recover it all the way home.
David, I'll keep an eye out! I only ever see one other TVR on my travels - a blue Griff that visits a house in the same village as me sometimes in the summer. Mine needs an MOT currently as I let it lapse a few weeks ago during all this crappy weather. I'll be dragging my wife out to follow me down to Dan's to get a lift back at some point - the downside of travelling to far flung specialists - it costs brownie points!!

I know that feeling. Dan replaced my Cam last year. Other half followed me down there to drop off and followed me home after collection!I had lots to do around the house for the next couple of weeks

I live North Essex (near Wethersfield) and use Str8Six. They collect and dop the car back at very reasonable rates, and really know their stuff.
Seconded. North Essex too and car being picked up in the Lorry later this week.Edited by gutu12 on Tuesday 14th January 13:42
