Blast the search function not working furious

Another question for the experts I'm afraid.

Can the engine and gearbox be removed from the chassis as an entire unit or do they need to be split ? Body is off at the moment so have total access to everything.

Was thinking of jacking up the rear of the chassis and supporting it. Then the jack under the rear of the box and engine hoist supporting the block, lowering the box until everything is level before slowly pulling/lifting/pulling/lifting the entire lot out. Stroke of genius or biblically stupid ?

Yes it will come out all together. Just have to angle it so the engine is higher than the box, if you see what i mean.

Excellent. Many thanks for that. That was kind of my thinking of raising the back of the chassis to get the sort of angle needed when removing.

I've been following your rebuild and I'm green with envy (plus loads of admiration). Already have a few threads bookmarked to use as reference and yours is definitely one of them.

Thanks, will have a thorough look through and take note of how you removed everything.
