W123 estate roof bars help

Im looking for a set of roof bars for a W123.

Can anyone advise what material they are made from and if they corrode.

Is there anywhere that sells these new or is there any possibility of getting these secondhand but in good condition?

I would appreciate any helpful comments.

I'm not quite sure what you're after, whether you mean the roof rails which run the length of the roof and were standard fit on UK cars or whether you mean the cross bars which attach to the rails and were an extra. The former are made up of myriad parts as shown in the diagram below. These appear still to be available at your main dealer at sensible prices. The latter are part number A1238401818 and you would usually get two. They are visible in the car in the photographs below.

There were some lovely roof racks available but this seems no longer to be the case.
