The manual doesnt make this very clear. When i connect my Iphone to the PCM via BT I am able to play music from my Iphone. I can change tracks with <> buttons on the head unit but dont know how to actually see my music library nor can I even access tracks from the steering wheel controls. I can see the track playing but cant change it from steering wheel? What do i need to do to see my music library? Does it have to be connected with a cable? Can I use the steering wheel to change tracks on AUX BT?
@stevod: Stevo,
Do you need PCM in order to get iTunes working nicely with an iPhone via USB?
Or do you need at least to spend GBP1,052 on the "Audio system CDR Plus incl. Sound package Plus" in order to get that functionality?
Is the display pretty old fashioned: just artist, album, track name with no album art?
The latest BMW iDrive really is a nice installation... it is a shame that Porsche in car entertainment technology is so lacking. It is also damn expensive, so there is no excuse.
When I use Siri on my iPhone 5 I am really amazed and impressed at how good the speak recognition is now... I expect the Porsche system is lagging a lot in this regard too... does anyone have any direct experience of the voice control system?

^I've only used PCM so I don;t know what the CDR is like.
Generally the audio integration is really nice as it has display in the RH binnacle and control from the stalk. I usually use a memory stick in the glovebox though rather than the iphone, unless I'm using Spotify.
The new version of PCM (4.3 IIRC) has album art display from mp3s on USB (and from its own jukebox) - don't know if it can pull it from iphone.
Best to have a play around with the systems yourself. Most OPC salespeople don't seem to know much about the finer details of them so get some hands-on time.
I had iDrive before and loved it. Now I've had PCM for 6 months I actually quite like it. I thought the BMW and Porsche systems were both made by Becker.
