Porsche Day at Donington 4/8/13

We had a great turn out of Porsches for a track day at Donington Park last year....

I've arranged with Bookatrack to run it again for us. This year it will be on Sunday August 4th.
It's run using their normal open pitlane format and the normal Donington driveby limit of 98db. Instruction will be available as will garages (but you're best advised to book those in advance when you make your on-line booking).
To book on simply go to the Bookatrack website. As an incentive, there is an early booking discount if you sign up before the end of May. To get a unique discount code, e-mail me through my profile when you are ready to book. this will give you £45 off and reduce the price of the day to £250. I only have a limited number of codes so the sooner you book the better.
If it's not sold out by the end of May then the day will be opened to other marques. This was the same last year but we still ended up with nearly all the field being Porsches.
Half a dozen of us in 964s are already booked.
I've heard it's going to be dry that day.

Donny is great for first timers, only really beaten by Bedford, plenty of run-off and a very flowing track, just start slow and build up during the day.

They usually have three instructors on the day. They'll ask you about your experience and what you want out of the instruction and then tailor the instruction to suit. Whether that be teaching you the basics of track driving (using the width of the track, where you should be looking), teaching you the lines or improving your track craft. It's always money well spent IMO and they're all good in my experience. Book yourself a morning slot and one in the afternoon.boxsey said:

Thanks for the reply, I will get myself booked in along with some tuition. Edit: I have just visited the bookatrack website and there are already four non porches booked in for the event, is it already open too all marques?

They will have booked at full price, not knowing that BaT have given us a deal on this day. I still expect us to be in the majority (30 of us in 2011 and 50 of us last year). Standards of driving/behaviour are usually very good on these days. Porsche bookings have been a little slow to start but there is usually a domino effect as more people book (I've given out a lot of discount codes this week and soon there will be none left).purds said:
