Radio suggestions/advice

Hello,
Does anyone have any suggestions regarding a good head unit for my Griffith 500? I was looking at a Philips unit in Halfords (I only really went in there for the smell in the bicycle area) which had an in-built satnav. I have an old Sony system in the car with the CD changer in the boot. I wanted to upgrade so that I can play the i-Pod and the satnav appealed as I driving round France, Switzerland and Spain in the summer.
Ta very muchos for any advice.

Just fitted a Pioneer for the Griff 50x50 with all the extras hands free bluetooth,2xUSB and interactive ipod controls also lets you chose from a multitude of colours for the buttons and display all for around £200 which amazed me as the same stereo would of cost double a couple of years back! Oh and the brushed ally controls matched the dash.
I will take a picture later and get the model number for you.

I use the stereo in mine from time to time. At times, on a long drive home, I like to put a bit of music on. My girlfriend gets bored without music after a while too.
I have a basic Sony in mine, but my girlfriends car has a nice Kenwood, I think it's a KIV-700. It has no CD drive, but a very good iPod interface with a decent sized screen. Might look a bit modern in the TVR though.

Ok so its a DEH8400 i have not peeled the bluetooth sticker off yet but you get the idea, think it goes well with the interior and liked the option of colours sad i know!

The Pioneer DEH-8400BT has been selling on eBay brand new for £110 delivered, worth a look, I've just bought one, mainly for the Bluetooth capabilityI've been looking at getting one of these so no need to be carrying cd's everywhere just put them all on an SD card or use your Ipod

What a fantastic dash! Where did you get that from? For me the worst thing about a Griff interior is the cheap plastic air vents that seem to try and escape the dash at every use so they where the first thing on what turned into a silly list of up grades

I can recommend an Apline ida unit for the Ipod, i have one in the tuscan and love it.
The click wheel on the front is better than the ipod itself for navigation, the quality is great.
I bought the ida-305, here in my thread.
It has DAB / Bluetooth add ons if needed.
