Hey guys... So...

After several posts and much discussion with the boss ;-), decided to go for (my dream car) a DBS...

Missed out on 4 (what looked like ideal ones from the net) by days... Hours in fact re a 08 Casino Royale at Stratstone, with 2400 miles, as simply couldnt get to London in time and was pipped !

If anyone has a Casino Royale 08/09 and thinking of selling, let me know BTW - 07717 690540

Going out this Sat to view 3, all black. Re this has anyone had any dealings with TOP555 in Rutland ? Got a very nice 58 with 7500 miles, but sure its been there a couple of months, has anyone viewed it, know them ???

Others at Stratstone Mayfair and HR owen in Cheltenham....

Hope another grey - ish one appears though.

I looked at the one at Stratstone Mayfair. it's tidy, they will NOT deal however! maybe if you have a PX there is some movement but other than that expect to pay asking price not a penny less!

I knew it Mark, you're wife is very understanding! Far be it from me to offer advice about taking your time (bearing in mind I fell in love with yours the moment I saw it), there is no rush. The right one will come up, but don't buy just for the sake of it. This is quite a purchase, and you'd hate to look back and think, do you know what, I wish I'd bought a different colour etc.
Good luck though mate, look forward to seeing the photos when you've settled on one. If you look on the photos thread, last page, you might see one you recognise! wavey

You shouldn't have any problems with Top 555 they are decent chaps, speak to Charles or his brother Tim with your enquiry I'm sure they will be pleased to help.

The car you mention does seem to have sat in their stock a while so a cheeky bid might just get the ball rolling,I haven't seen that car there myself but it won't be a tail
of woe if I know Charles.

There not a million miles away from me if you get serious and want a better overview prior to travelling I don't mind calling in for a coffee and to take a look for you
if thats any help,it will worry the missus though as thats where my last 911 turbo came from off the back of popping in for a coffee.....coffee

Thanks guys, REALLY appreciate the offers of help...

Think when I get out and look at a few I'll start to know the answer as totally torn between grey and black (and silver which looks stunning)...

If anyone is passing Owens or TOP555 do pop in and give me an opinion, which would be ace, but also please dont go out of your way,,, despite driving 900 miles a week, doing another 500 on Saturday doesnt phase me when DBS's are involved !

Think they are all gorgeous but want to be 100% happy, and as Bincenzo says, dont want to have "wish I had waited" thoughts

Just booked a boutique chateaux in Provence for start of July, that will be (hopefully) the first major roadtrip, which I really regeret not doing in Bincenzo's befofe he nicked it from me ;-) !!!

My car was handled by Top555 a couple of years ago. Whilst I have only spoken to them on the phone (very helpful) I have two mates who have purchased Porsche and RR from them and both have been very very happy. If you do go and see the car make sure you go to Hambleton Hall for lunch yes

I bought my DBS from top555, I thought they made a real effort to present themselves as a viable alternative to an Aston /Ferrari/ etc dealer .the experience was good and the car excellent, you could tell it had really been looked after ....and I did think the quality of their stock looked very good ....it's only a hunch but I felt they were fussy buyers .
I can recommend them based on my experience .

The times I have dealt with Top555 they have been great, it's a well established family business with a good reputation.
I'm +1 with Nick, if you are travelling a long way make a day of it and book a meal at Hambleton Hall ...... if Michelin style meals are your bag it's a top spot smile

I think Jonathan is new car sales. I dealt with Martin Ross on the used car sales side and he is always willing to work towards the deal you want. He is also great and keeping in touch during and after the sale.

That said, Welwyn only have one DBS, the rest seem to be in Exeter. They will of course arrange to get any car to whichever branch is convenient for you to view it.

THanks guys

The 2 black ones in Exeter are not available anymore. 1 sold at 85k and the other was on sale and return and they owner has pulled it out when I enquired and now wanting to keep it. Not too keen on going Indy. Stratstone won't budge and other than that not much new appearing.

Just got to remain patient and see what comes up

And perhaps try some bidding on a couple out of my range, you never know, most dealers build in 15k I believe.....
