They have been on pre sale for at least 24 hours.

Barclaycard sent me an email inviting me to purchase at 9am yesterday.

That's all very well if you have a Barclaycard. I don't.

So that makes a mockery of the 'tickets on sale at 9am on Friday' bks from Ticketmaster etc.

Literally hundreds of tickets on the bay way before 9am this morning at stupid prices. Takes the piss. I'm not happy.

Watch the original Hyde Park film and see what Jagger says about giving a free show. How times have changed and for the worse, didn't even bother looking at tickets as I knew this would happen. What a joke.

I couldn't get any on the pre-sale yesterday at 9:05, but managed to get 2 on the official site at 9:20 after a few attempts.

It's irritating beyond belief.

Why say that they will be on sale on Friday & then sell them beforehand?

Either they are on sale on Friday or they aren't. How the hell are people meant to know that the tickets will be on 'pre-sale to the chosen few' before they go on general sale?

wkers. Hope it rains!!!

Very very pissed off. Going to the pub now......

I have spent the last three hours - sat in the pub - trying to get tickets. No luck no matter what site I tried.

They were on sale today - but a small number were available yesterday too.

Most events have a small number of tickets that are offered to "chosen few" before the general public, e.g., fan club members, or customers of the company sponsoring the event.

With 65,000 tickets for sale, and millions of people wanting them, it's not surprising they sell out quickly. I was on the website at 9am, and spent 20 minutes trying - it seems most were sold within a few minutes.

They were sold out before 9am - hence my irritation. Impossible to get tickets unless, of course, you head over to the bay & pay stupid prices for tickets with a face value of £95.00.

Something that i am not prepared to do.

Takes the piss when the blurb from the Stones, Ticketmaster, etc clearly says 'tickets on sale at 9am on Friday'.

They should have added the following to the adverts 'Suckers. You wont get any but thanks for trying because we look after the corporate side first'.

I know that hundreds of thousands of people try to get tickets however if the blurb says on sale at 9am then that is when they should be sold. Not 2 or 3 days beforehand.

According to Absolute Radio, Ticketmaster & Viagogo no tickets were available at 9am. They were all sold out before they 'officially' went on sale.

I gave up around 1pm after trying dozens of times. Stayed in the pub until i decided i had better go home!!!

I bought my tickets from the official site at 9.20, so they were still available after 9.

For most shows these days you'll have a number of presales. Fanclub might go first, then one or two major sponsors (eg. O2 venue, presale to O2 customers). Then quite often you'll get a promoter presale for their mailing list (eg: LiveNation, who own Ticketmaster but that's a whole nuther argument) before tickets are available to the actual general public.

Now this is before you even think about companies like ViaGoGo who will probably have a deal to take a load of tickets for their 'legal' secondary ticketing site (when a deal is done, the artist is getting a kickback from all those overpriced tickets). And even if they don't have a deal, they'll get hold of them via more dubious means. Secondary ticketing is a massive thing and the touts will all be sorted to get their tix through these presales or through the back door.

Then you've got folk who work for venue / promoter / somewhere in the food chain who can blag their tickets early and will be selling their allocations on early...

Secondary ticketing is an enormous industry and there are so many conflicts of interest and dubious deals out there that its a wonder any punter ever gets a ticket for face value.

Never mind the buying process, the prices are a joke! Near on £100 for general admission aka being a long way from the stage. No thanks, I'll wait for the dvd!

They've announced a second date the following weekend. Tickets should be on sale from 9am this Friday.

Tier 3 tickets are still available for the 13th via Barclaycard account website. The tier 3 area goes right up to the stage, potentially better than seated areas. Slight drawback is you'll have to be a good sprinter with the ability to hold your bladder for 12 hours! Was tempted but just watched a couple if live in 2013 clips on YouTube . Think ill spend the £95 on something else ..

Hyde Park is a lousy venue. It is too big, you can't see, you're too far from the stage and it is nothing like loud enough. I'll never go again no matter who is playing or how cheap it is.
