Rather foolishly I neglected to take any pictures or markings of the bulkhead prior to getting the bodywork done on my Vixen. As there were a great deal of "spare" holes in my bulkhead prior to restoration I had them all glassed and filled so I could redrill only those required.

Can anyone post any photographs (or measurements) from either side of the bulkhead which show where the hole for the speedo cable should be. For information, my speedo is on the right (tacho on the left)

Thanks

Depending how good a job they did can you see any clues from the back?

Sorry I can't help but just curious, are you after "originality" or getting the smoothest line for the cable route with out getting in the way of anything else?

Surprisingly no clues from the back but there were an awful lot of holes to fill. Originality is not a must, just keen to get it right first time and given the speedo and transmission are in the original location the best chance is to get the hole as close to the original location also.

This is my Tuscan V6, but should be similar.

First pic is speedo cable. Others may be useful, I hope.

Thanks Pat, just the ticket.

Interesting your speedo cable goes through the double thickness area of the body, the only piercing in this area on my car is the wiper drive tube. I don't recall another hole for the speedo although I imagine this is just down to the Vixen S1 to Tuscan differences. I'll go for a hole in the single thickness part of the bulkhead but use the lateral dimension from your photos.

Out with the diamond hole saw, wish me luck, no going back now!

Thanks
