Here, borrow my car...
Discussion
As a driver of a fairly dull 2012 VW Passat, and generally a BMW-virgin - give or take the odd 1-series lap of Rockingham at launch, and a few spins in a Mini - if that counts - quite excited this evening!
My wife's having trouble with her car - dull Renault family bus - and due to current house extension works, we're living at the in-laws - 8 miles from our place and thus the local schools. So, my brother in law has kindly offered to lend me his car (he has a work van) so that my wife can use my company car to get the kids there on time.
Only thing is, it's a 2002 E46 M3!
I know, not a supercar and certainly not big money, but for the few days that it's headed my way, I can't bloody wait!!!

Just be careful or he will become your ex Brother in law........
To be honest, they're not quite married yet so that's possibly easier done than said!!If im honest though - i'm hoping I won't need it and that the Renault folk can get this part in in time. As much as i'd like a blast, I don't think my 80 mile round trip commute will appeal to him or my pocket, but either way, the offer's there!
Plus, like you say - my right foot can get quite heavy and I don't want to lose a) my licence or b) the back end!

Enjoy it, mate. You're in for a treat!!
You'll probably find that the engine isnt that happy when its cold and the car judders about a bit until warmed up. I normally dont go over 3k revs until the engine oil guage shows 75c. Then it gets hammered!!
This. It's a real dog when cold but an absolute peach when it's up to temperature. Oh, and enjoy looking like a learner when you bunny-hop it for the first time!
