Flixton Air Museum

Driving out towards the seaside with my parents over Easter weekend, going past a pub we see a Javelin parked up. Quick 3 point turn in the road, back across and we discover an absolute hidden gem.
You guys probably know all about this place, but I'd never heard of it, and it's really close to my parents' house.
Turns out my Grandfather has actually flown this very Meteor. I'll definitely be getting him to come along next time to become reacquainted!
Sea Vixen is just awesome.
I felt a bit scared standing here...
What does this belong to?
Ah yes...
And what's this next to the Harrier..?
It's only a bleedin' Lightning...
Not much inside once the engines are taken out...
Some other interesting bits.
I thought this was a cute touch.
Shop was well stocked with retro bits and bobs.
Will definitely be going back again in the Summer, hopefully with my Grandfather and his logbooks.

Two unhappy bunnies I'll tell you
My son drove past a few weeks ago (in the area for his job) noticed the signs and went in
And came home telling us he'd found a new to us museum
Not quite as jubilant when I told him we knew it, then was very happy he'd been inside and we hadn't
yes there is a little family rivalry going on

Bit cheeky of them to call themselves that though, when there are a few others around here!
Situated next to the Flixton Buck, I lived in a neighboring village called Rumburgh before I came overseas. There's another museum not far away just outside Halesworth , no aircraft there just lots of artifacts . Incidentally one of JFK brothers was killed in the skies over that area when the aircraft he was in exploded during WW2 .
Looking at those pictures it all looked a bit familiar to me, and I think I may have been there as a child when we used to go on holiday in the area.
Checked it out on Google maps and is that a Pucara in the North-East corner of the lot? Thought it was a Bronco at first but the canopy seems to high and long for one of those.
