TVR factory parts FINISHED
Discussion
I was told they haven't been sold yet.
All the remaining Wedge and S parts have been put into two containers, along with some jigs and some moulds. There is a retail value of circa £250k on the parts and TVR are after offers. There is the possability of buying the rights for the Wedge and S (ie TVR Parts 1980-92) cars' parts supply. A bit like David Gerald did for the older pre-1980 cars.
A ready made business there for somebody......

The plot thickens, Just got off the phone to David Geralds, and they seem to think the quarantined parts have not been sold yet either. This does not help me to find a new trailing arm.
Douglas valley Breakers have quoted me more than the price of a new one for a used one - they are cheeky b******s .
BellHillGarage have no Wedge bits at the moment, as they failed to get the 390 up for auction recently, which is really annoying.

I had heard that DG were in negotiations with TVR regarding these parts, but I think we will just have to wait for an official announcement I suppose.
The sad fact is..if anyone needs any factory sourced spares...you are going to be up a certain creek without a method of propulsion......!!

And its no help that we cant get the parts catalogue off them with some indication of an alternative part number
Still no joy from TVRCC about this.I actually have a resonably full version of the Wedge 'parts' catalogue. It is so big that it took me about a week to photocopy and melted down a half tidy photocopier in the process
I should imagine that to scan it and then turn the little lot into a .PDF document would be nothing less than an odyssey!.
I would also imagine that the file size would be huge. Probably fit on a 30p CD though. Any takers for the scanning job??.

Plenty of chance that there'll be sme blatant profiteering going on then.
It wouldn't be too hard to make jigs to copy parts such as the A frames, trailing arms etc., and there are a few people on here who have the skills and resources to make such items...
im currently tempted to get a mate with a nice big cnc machine and a block of alloy to see if i can make some a-frame hub carriers..
Just need one to copy

Edit
I have access to a program that allows you to scan a page at a time and slowly build a pdf doc. Still time consuming. How many pages is it?
