Just bought this RHD-converted Caprice from a chap near Preston. It's a bit rough around the edges but the motor has been rebuilt recently. Drives super smooth and more comfortable than sitting in my living room! It's the 305 (5 litre) v8, 3 speed auto (I think)? Not bad for £2k, just wants a little tlc.

The guy who looks a bit like Right Said Fred is my brother btw.

Very good Sir, I've fond childhood memories of wallowing around the US on holiday in these.

Interior pics?

You weren't in Penrith today were you? I went past in a silver Monaro.

Love those old Yank boats.

Does need some tubular manifolds on it (or 'headers' as the yanks call them) and a free flow exhaust to release the V8 thunder cloud9

Plans for it?

No problem! It's nice (and rare up here) to see another V8.
You have a very nice car- very imposing. It makes my car seem the size of a fiesta!

Kudos.
This Caprice is right up my street, a Full Tilt Mack Daddy Pimptastic Barge of the sort that i'd be rolling if i wasn't currently smokin' my Double Six smokin.

I've liked the styling of these since I was a kid. The father of a lad at my school had one, it was the same colour as this and would have been about the same age too. I wonder if it was the same car? Still, I suppose there were a few of them, so probably not.

Is it one of the Lendrum and Hartman ones?

Thanks very much. PM me if you like, I wouldn't mind a nosey at that Monaro.

Interior pics I shall upload tomorrow when I have given it a good cleaning out!
Plan is to fix a minor oil leak from a sensor and possibly swap one of the 'mufflers' for a glass pack. Other than that she's good to go!

Very nice to hear the positive responses so thanks everyone!

That is awesome. I'd love something like that to wallow about in. I found Chrysler New Yorker for sale a while ago and really wanted it. The only major drawback was that after a little research I found it wouldn't actually fit on the drive.

More piccies please!

Very cool, colour is nice too. Every time you go to the shops will be a possible 'bad parking' post. Looks massive!

Sorry for the delay - I was having issues uploading the snaps. I opened them in paint and re-saved them so I guess maybe the file size was too big.

Anyway here are some interior snaps. LOL at the "Fuel Economy" dial and the "Comfortron" ie. blower control...

Nice barge.

That reminds me, I must do a drive-by on my way in to work tomorrow.
