Mazda Traffic Master Satnav

Just picked up a Mazda Rx-8 with a dealer fit traffic master satnav system. I'd never seen these before, the only visible part is a single button, there's no screen. Behind the scenes there's some kind of mobile phone, GPS setup and it plays through the car stereo.
I hit the button and was connected to the call centre, surprised me that it was all active. They offered me a month free if I want it.
I figured i'd ask around in case anyone had experience of it. it sounds pretty reasonable - traffic master traffic re-routing, always up to date maps etc.
My other thought was just save the free month for when it comes time to sell it. You never know, something like that may help eek out a few more pennies from a buyer.
Anyways like I say, any experiences with this? Hot or snot?
