In the (quite justified) fuss about Wilko's situation, let's not forget that today is the NINETEENTH
anniversary of the death of Lee from Lymphoma. Aside from his undoubted prowess as singer and frontman of 250 gigs-a-year Dr.Feelgood, his loan of £400 to Jake Riviera and Dave Robinson to start Stiff Records kick started a world of punk away from the mega-hype of McLaren's Pistols.
Great bloke, sadly missed.

One of my favourite gigs was seeing Dr Feelgood at the Cartoon in Croydon. a couple of hundred people jammed in, lads in the front row lighting cigs for Lee, who was less than a couple of feet from their noses.
Luckily I met him to speak to at a gig at Loughborough University a few years later, he signed my plaster cast from a motorcycle accident that broke my wrist, he was a pleasure to meet.
Bless both Lee and Wilko.
