I've done this post on a number of other forums, but it's interesting to know your take.

As car show season has pretty much kicked off. Yes, we know they are s**t, however some people still enjoy them, like myself.

Where do you find out about these events ? Especially for all different marques ?

Anyway, I couldn't find anywhere, so I threw this site together to basically collate car shows/events/meets etc.

www.carcal.co.uk -

Be good to hear how others go about it, as i'm sure you've missed one before that you didn't find out about until after the event.

Piston Heads calendar seem to focus on track days and RWYB days.

I wrote that because I can't be bothered to see posts saying, "Who goes to those shows ?", "They're full of chavs", chav this, chav that. Anyway, the latter end of my sentence says that I still enjoy them, and for that reason I am choosing to promote them, ok smile

Thanks, just not seen one like it with a wide range of events, I find you have to go to loads of individual websites to find a broad spectrum of events.

As a photographer I find this very useful, thanks!

Thanks Eve. If you ever want to submit photos, please do not hesitate to get in touch smile Watermarks can be used too.

Lol, ecsrobin, great outlook wink I try to cater for all, although I may not attend all. We can't be picky can we.

Superb site. PH calendar has lots missing from it. Best I previously found was at http://classicshowsuk.co.uk/

Having one single calendar to view is defo the way forward.

I find that most people know when big events are on which is what you've catered for at the moment. Its all the small local events and shows that need pulling together. Maybe one for the future.

Thanks S4lover thanks. That other site you mentioned, content wise, brilliant, design, 1996 smile

ecsrobin, yes, I do agree, however all the smaller ones need submissions to make work as they are harder to find.

Blipi, give it another go, server went down today due to DDOS hack - first time in 4 years i've had problems, so no biggie *fingers crossed*.

I was going to suggest the same site as S4lover

but if you want to see some car actual moving as designed to do (I hope thought doesn't frighten too many who static display their cars) or better still have a ride out in them usually for a 10-mile ride on HM roads see the Sporting Bears Dream Rides events here - http://sportingbears.co.uk/index.php/view/cat/6/ev...
