thank you for the positive responses :-)

heres a few more photos..

skegness beach for fish and chips

after noticing the wheels werent in the best of condition so i sent them off to be refurbed ...this took longer than expected (6 months :O)! in the mean tim i used a spare set of wheels frown

cammo paint was an optional extra ;-)

DC11 wheels not done in time so went black

things took a turn for the worst tho as after a year of driving daily the original engine started to knock.

You may of noticed the e30 in the background of the last photo, that was fitted with an m20b25 turbo, and having failed its mot for excessive rot i thought itd be a good idea to put that engine and box in the alpina...

now my aim it to get back to standard. i have many more photos if anyone is interested in seeing them

What have you done to that poor Alpina? Apart from ruining it, obviously. shoot

Hey Ant, good man for starting a thread up. Yep, they're a seriously rare piece of kit, especially in Touring form. I think really it'd be worth getting it back to original spec if you can, shouldn't be too difficult hopefully and is a lovely example. Be careful of your ECU btw, as they're now NLA from Alpina

Sent you a couple of e-mails with some info, but not sure if there was a problem sending them, let me know if you didn't get them and I'll send again

Have a look on the other Alpina thread - the OP didn't realise how rare the car was until quite recently and is now going to put it back to stock - good on him I say.

I have the ecu its safe smile i used a different ecu for the turbo setup.
Ive not recived any emails try sending them to ajtimlick@hotmail.co.uk

I expected some hate for the turbo setup, like i said before i didnt realise what i had until i read the article on leins e30.

My plan now is to return it to standard. Its well underway. The origional engine and box is now back in and splitter is back on. I added the photos of when it was turbo'd to show the history of the car while in my possesion, fill some blanks.

A more upto date pic to make everyone happy smile

Glad to hear its being put back to Aplina spec.

How much difference would it make to run a smaller intercooler inside? probably less than 5% power between large and small intercooler or is it a bigger difference?

Thank you . Not Sure what the difference in power is, l got given the intercooler as it wouldn't fit my mates imprezza. lt was a good snug fit. Function>Beauty.

Anyway heres a nice pic from when I finally got my wheels back from referb
