oh dear. I like the truck, if it was mine, but wouldn't want to see excitable young plods chasing anyone with it. Imagine the carnage if that smacks your pride & joy because it can't make a corner? eeeek.

I don't understand this at all. I live 2 hours north of L.A. and have no idea why any police officer would need a truck other than for the utility aspect(hauling kids bicycles to the office etc.). In our small town we have maybe 3 cop cars and 2 trucks. One is a Dodge like in the photo and the other is a Ford Expedition. Why why why? What a waste. Maybe it would be good for chasing people off road but other than that .....nothing. Wasting gas and taxpayers money$$$$. And what about those rims; do they need those?

Far be it from me to want to advocate the use of these 'beats' but what if the 'veehickle' you are chasing is also a Dodge Ram? The yanks seem to like pushing their prey off the road. You are gonna move billy-bob off the tarmac with a Metro Geo/Suzuki swift!

Got the truck! only it's a bit larger than that ickle one ilustrated; a 4x4 with 'kin great bullbars (for the trees/bushes in my bit of forest), extended cab, Cummins diesel 10 cyls, with torque enough to pull out Switzerland by the roots, double axle, towing hook, hydraulics etc etc etc (for squashing numpties against the armco and) for towing my race car trailer and work in the woods. (Have towed an 18 tonner with it!) Sorts out a lot of arguments in traffic too!! Shiny repmobils who want to cut me up decide that 2.7 tonnes of truck (empty) is a bit of a nono against their Mundaneovectratrash, they usually cringe!
