Im assuming i should have shift lights as the hand book says it is a manual car?
If so they don't seem to work.
I tried it out today the warmest day i have driven the car
took it up to 6k then to 6.5 k which is getting a bit scary now and no lights.
My vantage worked but it was a sports shift so i thought i better ask.
Despite this what a beast this is WOW also the first time my knobs not been freezing
Cheers

So the lights are a waste of time? I did notice them on the Vantage but then again maybe I had a bit more time unlike this beast.
Ahh, sorry Paul, just noticed you're in the DBS. I was taking about the Vantage. Ask Nick. Alternatively, ask Cockers after the Geneva trip, he'll have seen it a few times by then!

On my v8 vantage they appeared so quickly that by they time the first one lit up the car was on the rev limiter before I had chance to change gear. On the v12 I find they appear a bit more 'slowly' and it's quite easy to see the first or second and change before the limiter.
I havent had my V8 long, so am still getting used it, but I find the shift lights next to useless, as above by the time they flash on its too late. I am also taking a while to adjust to the reverse rev counter.ripley500 said:

Do you know what revs your doing?V8 Animal said:

They come on at around 7000 RPM and you only have 300 RPM left to play with before the rev limiter cuts in. I wish they came on earlier around 6500 RPM. It is very easy to miss them!
