After being laid up over the winter, being fettled and serviced etc, I took the sag out for a spin today taking advantage of a rare bit of dry weather, and makes me realise just how much I miss driving this car, I`ve been itching to get back in it since I got back from holiday last Friday, absolute heavencloud9

to think over the boring winter months I was even toying with selling her and getting a Cerb instead heheno chance, just a case of to many cold dark evenings staring at the classifiedsyes

right, now when is the summer again??laugh

Had similar thoughts myself. I think the price / performance equation along with patriotism makes TVR ownership a very intoxicating proposition - the heart definitely rules the head. Interesting you thought of a Cerb as an alternative to a Sag given performance and price comparisons. If you're sitting on a Sag worth £50k plus there surely comes a point when you start to look around to see what else ticks all of your boxes for less money ? You mention too many evenings staring at the classifieds but that suggests that in your mind your Sag must be lacking something or you wouldn't be thinking of an alternative ? I've had similar thoughts with my T350 from time to time but assuming I sold it what else could I buy for the money interms of looks & performance ? If I was sitting on a nice Sag worth c£55k however, the alternatives could be quite tempting.

I think the only reason individual look around is because we all like new toys. If you can keep your present toys and buy others then you do not have that problem and look with your heart content.

the sag certainly isnt lacking in any department for me, but there comes a time when its worth more than you paid for it and human nature says you look around and weigh up your options, even though if you did part with it it could end up being the worst decision you ever made, there are a few on here who will testify to that.

being a bit of a tvr nut case If I ever did decide to part with it a cerb would be a natural replacement, as I have already had a griff, a T350,and an S2,and after fitting an ajp into the griff I appreciate what a nice engine the ajp really is, however, on looking at other models of car from a pure driving point of view, I like the looks of the ferrari 355 manual, and a noble, but the looks on the noble just look a bit plain for me personally, then there is the lambo gallardo, but that would mean more money?

so, as discussed many times before, not a lot to compare to, nothing in this world looks as bonkers as the sag, unless a lottery win comes along, and an mpc24 goes to the top of the shopping listhehe

I was going to put something sarky but as you have taken the mickey out of yourself this time Alex i'll leave it be.

When do you reckon it will be back on the road properly?

I was a bit let down by a recent drive in the sag, not by the cars power or handling, but after driving the noble on track for a week with a recaro profi spa seat held perfectly still required no effort, even gentle corners on country roads at 60 in the sag I felt like I was rolling around all over the place and had to put more effort into keeping myself in the seat than actually driving the car, knackered after half an hour enthusiastic driving. frown I don't want to modify the car but its crying out for a decent pair of seats.

I can not see what seats you have but fit a harness bar and some harnesses and the issue you mention will go away.

Ur so generous, Kev! tongue out

Start of next week. Still not sure it will be visiting Chatsworth yet. Depends on how
much time I get next week to run 'er in and how confident I am as a result of that.
