Hi All

Can any of you late 350i owners out there check the rev counter connections to the coil please?

I have the TVR badged instruments. The two cables I am interested in are a white and black cable and a black one (ground?) I assumed that the white and black cable carrying the low tension pulses should be on the + side of the coil so could anyone confirm for me?

Thanks in advance

Chris

White/black is the 'trigger' side so coil '-'. Also goes to the ECU to tell it when to fire the fuelling and to the cruise ECU... er, well, it does on my car biggrin

Coil '+' is plain white.

Don't get them the wrong way around on the ignition amplifier as it may throw a wobbler.

Thanks I will change them over as the trigger wire is on the + side for some reason if it is the case I hope that the instrument is not now toast!

Well as long as the 12v feed (white wire) is on the (-) side, the ignition will work the same, just that the sparks will jump the wrong way... yes, really smile
