Driving home from work in the chim on Friday, stuck in a traffic jam (<3mph) when a police 4x4 pulls alongside and signals to me. He then proceeds to ask me to carefully place the car into neutral and apply my handbrake (by this time I'm thinking that something is hanging off the back of the car or, more likely, on fire and I'm up for a and ), instead he then says 'now would you mind blipping the throttle'!!!! Was so surprised I only managed to blip it to about 2000revs! To which he thanked me and carried on his way - smiles all round

Have only had my car for 6 months or so but still cannot get over the effect they have on people, even, it seems, the police.

Love it!!

Anyone else had the police do this?

I took the Chimaera over to Ireland a few years back. touring around some twisty back roads. When I see an ambulance behind me no lights. So I put my foot down a bit. Ambulance is still there, still no blue lights. So I figured I make a bit more space (just for fun jou know). I am now doing 100+ in the straights, as fast as I dare in the twisties. Still can't lose (safely) the Ambulance.

We finally pull into the only town we have seen for a while that has traffic lights, when the blue lights come on. As there was no traffic I pull through the lights, Ambulance following, I pull over, The guy stops, lights still on, leans out and ask if he can have a look around the car!

So what could I do but oblige.
