Does anyone know of a reputable garage/engineering firm that can test the shock absorbers on a car? Preferably somewhere that has equipment to measure/test/prove the dampening ability of the shocks and produce a printed summary showing the measurements taken.

The old sit on one corner of the car and see how it settles upon release test doesn't really apply to mine due to how stiffly sprung and low it is.

Cheers in advance.

Try "Cornering Force" near Harrogate. Set our racer up and seem like good honourable blokes who know their stuff.

Good luck, Ed

Are they struts, or smaller standalone Shock Absorbers, a la kit car / TVR Etc?

If the latter, then most places that do decent motorbike shock rebuilds should have a shock dyno they might fit in I would have thought.

They are Pedders Extreme XA adjustable coil overs. It's a big heavy VXR8.
