Have been a long time lurker around these forums but never really had a car I thought to be worthy of mentioning!
Finally bought something I feel is special enough for a few pics. She may be a few years old now but still shifts well. I hunted through various chavved up abused examples and low mileage minters which I couldn't justify spending the money on to get me to work and back, until I found this on another forum I use.
She has a few little issues I would like to get sorted like the door rubbers and the leather wants a good clean and condition. There are also some spots of rust I would like to sort before they get any worse.
Here are a few pictures until I can get some better ones after she has had a proper clean.

Door seals are quite expensive! They got revised when facelifted so it no longer splits I think..
Our pre-facelift 330Ci Sport door seals did the same thing.. mixed up a nice bit of Araldite, glued it all up and held in place with masking tape overnight.. its been fine for nearly a year now.

Thanks for the comments. Ive already had the inner boot lights off, cleaned up the insides and polished the lenses. Resealed them and it has freshened the back end up.
I think i may use araldite also as the seals are annoying me.
Spec wise it seems to have a few gadgets. Memory seats, cruise etc. I would have liked the folding mirrors but these can be retrofitted easily enough.
As for issues with the car. There are slight cosmetic issues which i can sort over time. With the mileage it's done (170000) it still has a really nice drive to it. Its one of the few cars ive had which make me want to go for a drive just for the hell of it!
Plus for what I paid I can't really complain too much

Best keep an eye on it - I'm going to a different bodyshop this time.Luckily mine hasn't gone In the area below the boot lid. When they do go it does seem like a battle to keep on top of it even after having a repair.
It's a shame BMW did not do more in the way of rustproofing.
I do like the darker coloured alloys on yours. I want to get mine refurbed due to kerb rash but I am unsure of what colour to go for.

Yep, mine is also overdue a front driver's side wing replacement due to tin worm (what started as one tiny bubble has now got some what worse!). Its a shame, because they're superb cars - just feels like you're fighting a losing battle with the bodywork sometimes Here's mine...

The odd thing on mine is that passenger side front wing is showing no signs of corrosion at all (unless its already been replaced of course), but the driver's side is in a right state. Need to find a decent bodyshop to sort it out.Dms86 said:

Yes, sunroof and xenons - the original owner was generous with the options list (also has heated electric seats, power fold mirrors, HK sound system etc.). Although all Sport spec cars seem to be nicely equipped. I was kind of looking for another car this time last year, just casually. My ideal spec was something with xenons, and this one happened to come up within my budget on a traders site not more than 4 miles away Sunroof works fine, and is really nice to have - but the sun-blind clips have sheared off, which means the blind rattles a bit and sometimes gets stuck. Another job on my list of "simple fixes" for when it stops raining and warms up a bit.Hope you're enjoying yours... they're great cars, rust aside.
