Hi, looking for an LS460 around the 12 - 15k mark, anything that should be given the once over prior to buying apart from the usual?

These cars seem as rare as rocking horse st. Ideal spec would be silver with black leather, full lexus service history, and mark levinson audio in short wheelbase spec.

If anyone is aware of any for sale or is thinking of selling theirs, please PM me.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There is a new LS out so the 'older' ones will probably be coming in thru the dealer network - might be worth a punt 'registering' your interest with a few dealers. They are pretty rare though, as they were in parallel with the hybrid

What about a late spec 430 - cheaper road tax £260 instead of c£500
also anecdotal evidence the seats are not as comfy as the 430

Very few were sold in the UK from new and you may need to look as far afield as Cardiff, Newcastle etc to find a car. The seats in the 430 are NOT comfortable, I have one and they are the weakest part of the car. The LS 400 had better 'sofas' to sit in!!!

Yep, my LS400 seats are more comfortable than anything else in my house! Haven't tried the newer models but I wouldn't be surprised if they were less comfy.
