Hey guys

I've recently bought an F430 and have some MSV vouchers burning a hole in my pocket. I wondered about noise limits and whether the car will be OK?

Ideally I'd like to take it to Bedford for the generous run offs as this will be the first time on track in this particular car, but it's pretty damn loud!

Any experience would be appreciated!

No, basically. Unless you run a self imposed 4000rpm limit.

I turned up to a track day at Bedford a few years ago and a F430 scud. Attended.

Unfortunately can't tell you if he would of got kicked off or not as it was snowing and got cancelled frown

Looks like it'll have to Spa for you.....obviously no good for your MSV vouchers...but there are other compensations like it being miles better than Bedford. biggrin

F430 kept getting shown the 'NOISE' board when I was last at Bedford, he was getting bloody close to it and was having to back off.

Hmmm not looking good then!

As Bedford seems to be out, would you think any other MSV tracks will be acceptable? Anybody seen or ran an F430 round Brands for example?

Snetterton, Cadwell or Oulton are going to be the best bets. Its quite a low limit at brands too, more than bedford though.

Or sell the MSV vouchers on here.

Brands has very high noise limits, I’ve seen an F430 Challenge pounding round with no probs, I assume this is as loud if not louder than a standard F430

Lee Manning here as well! .... are you the Lee Manning I spoke to before? we both had 911's and Exiges and Boxsters??!?!?!!? There can't be 3 Lee Mannings on here with same cars

I have a F430spider as well to make it weirder!

You will get it around Bedford if you know where to lift off and dont have a heavy right foot during the static.

You wont be able to go flat out the whole way around if that makes sense... wink

Here is a video of mine. Sorry about the mirror. The other cars are mates of mine. Hence the clowning around.

I'll check those other ones out, it's just that being in South East I wanted a fairly local track with nothing to hit!!

Haha no it's still me!!

Please don't feel weird about it, I'm honestly not stalking you and living your life just a few years behind - I promise!

Either way, a little surreal....

Hmmm so did you have to change your driving style at all when out at Bedford in the F430?

I'd go for Snetterton then if I was you. I really like the new 300 layout, and there are a few sections with decent amounts of run off. Just don't push too hard on the sections with armco nearby. smile

Hi,

Took my friends 430 few times to Oulton Park and it was fine. Standard exhaust thought.

I remember helping a guy attatch coke cans with holes in to the exhausts of his f40 at donnington to try and stay within the noise limits could try something similar if there's a more profesional alternative. Not sure if it worked on the f40 I went home before the next session but seemed like a good idea

Snetterton 300 circuit should do the job.

Brands has what I can only call fairly mildly luke warm highish, but not too high, sort of a mid to high, three quarters on the 'high' scale if you will, certainly high enough for a 430, but not stupid high noise limits, I’ve seen an F430 Challenge pounding round with no probs, I assume this is as loud if not louder than a standard F430
