Once I have moved into my new house, I will have a garage and only then has my misses said I can have my long awaited Griff 500.

In all honesty, I haven't a clue where to get started in my quest and need some advise from the wealth of experienced owners out there

-can someone give me some pointers
(in addition, how much is insurance likely to cost me?I am 33 with 3 points on my licence, have a garage and live in Milton Keynes area?

anyones thoughts and help would be appreciated!

cheers

Dean,

Spend some time looking at the multiple threads on the site which talk about nuying a TVR!

Secondly, buy Steve Heath's TVR Chimarea/Griffith Bible.

Thirdly, join the TVRCC now. Good insurance pointers as well as a wealth of people will ing to answer questions, look at cars, make recommendations etcetera. (My T-reg 450 Chimaera costs me about £800 to insure, and I am new to the UK, so insurance companies tend to treat me as a new driver).

Lastly, don't buy the first car you drive!. Test drive lots...

Fat Boy,

What a coincidence I to am only allowed to buy my TVR when I have moved into my new house, fortunately I am moving next week.. But have been told to wait until Christmas before I actually purchase my chimarea so Santa’s sack will be very full this year.

I would strongly advise that you join the TVRCC as it's worth every penny and you will be waiting every month for the next copy of sprint. I can also not recommend enough Steve heath's book 'The TVR Griffith and chimaera' commonly referred to as the bible, I received my copy 2 weeks ago and already am half way through it and although I am not particular mechanically minded I found it reasonable easy to follow and it's comes with a nice section about buying a Griffith or Chimaera.

why I am writing this are there any TVR owners in the Worle area near Weston Super Mare?

Just the right time to start asking questions. If you tell us a bit more about your location I can give you the contact details for your nearest TVRCC Regional Organiser - then you can drink ale and talk TVRs with them at their next meeting! And see some 500s in the flesh.
