Has there been a recent update for the Sonos system that has messed it up?

Everytime I don't use it for a few days, none of my controllers will connect to my system. It takes ages to get it all reset and working again only for it to fail again the next time?

Have they ruined what was once a great system or have a just got a duff link somewhere?

It's probably your router and the wifi network. That's what Sonos relies on to do it's magic.

Mines working fine whether controlled from iPad, android phone or PC.

The only problem with the recent update on my android phone is that when you tell the software to close it is still running in the background. The only way to get rid is to restart the phone (SGS2).

Thanks all. Good to know that it is not the software as I like this system.

I think I have tracked it down to a dodgy Sonos Bridge. This one is connected directly to my router, and each time I reset it the system works fine.

I reset it last night and it worked perfectly for a while, but this morning it had completely fallen over again. Another reset and it is fine.

I guess I will either have to replace it or move one of my zones so it can connect to the router itself.

Check the wifi channel it is running on.

This is very symptomatic of a clash of wifi networks channels. If you go into the settings (advanced I think) you can force it to a new channel.
