Audi A2 1.6 FSI Sport Overloaded

Long time lurking poster and frequent moaner
As some if not all will know i have a bit of a thing for the well ahead of it's time and rare site that is the Audi A2
Designed by the man who later brought the world the Lamborghini Gallardo and made using aluminium space frame technology only previously seen on the A8
For the last two years i've own a 2002 1.4 SE in grey/blue but saw this at the weekend and had to go for it.
It's a 2004 1.6 FSI Sport and it's fully loaded. only 66k miles from new and mot'd last week it has stuff you don't even get on the new A1 as standard.
In 2004 this car cost someone the best part of £22k when the base price was £16k
Got everything including sport suspension, cruise control, traction control and every extra you could want etc
but i have to say the Red Leather interior is stunning even if it won't be to everyones taste, it looks very red in the photos but in the flesh it is more a dark cherry colour and has lumbar support also
It's a minter apart from a few nicks on the wheels which I plan to refurb
Think i'll be keeping this even if i by another car as it's got everything you could ever need on a car, it's super smooth even riding on 17in wheels
and it still gets admiring glances

Any less than £4k and I'd say you've done really well.

That really is a cracking little car with a very distinctive colour combination. As commented above, it seems to be a helluva lotta car for £2800.
Can someone confirm if the A2 is considerably lighter than similar sized cars and if that is a factor in the mpg figures stated above?
What is rear visibility like? My wife needs a car to learn in, and an A2 is a possible purchase.

I never achieved much more than 38mpg from my 1.6 FSI A2.What is rear visibility like? My wife needs a car to learn in, and an A2 is a possible purchase.
Rear visibility isn't great due to the rear window set-up.
one week with this new beast and you certainly notice a difference with the sport suspension
super smooth which i wasn't expecting
and averaging about 42mpg
which is pretty good
and the smell of the leather is lovely, unlike the old car which had several scents of magic tree competing with each other
