chilli, putting those throttle bodies on yours will basically release around 10-15bhp, low down torque will increase by around 30ftib, and the driveabillity will be a massive difference, shunting should totally go away, thats the real bonus with throttle bodies, i have run some serious cams on throttle bodies and still drive really nice, all to do with reversal in a plenum

Rob

None of my Eales engines (5L, 4.5L and 4.8L) shunted on Carbs.
The Stock TVR 5L efi shunted like a tw@t, but was much better when MA tuned it. Twin plenum/404H

How ya doing any way, all good I hope.
Thought you had an Escort or something that might have gone racing?

Rob, I won't be doing any further mods without your input smile And whatever they might be, I'll be asking you to do them for me wink I have a feeling we can get 400 horses out of this engine, not (obviously) that numbers are important whistle

To be honest, the damn thing is effing quick now, and the last mod (removing the main cat) made a massive difference to torque... took me by great surprise when I floored it biggrin

Just need to justify more dosh on what's already a rather quick motor smile

Anyone wanna buy an ACT triple with custom airbox big bore inlet, 45mm trumpets gas flowed yadda yadda etc etc ???? throttle response is awesome wink

More torque with main cat removed, mmmm I must remove mine then! Yep soon as you want to pass on that air system I'mad for it. Just looked at your car Chilli, all black and clocks etc god damn dark side car allright, fantastic mate. I look at my original air intake set up love it yet can see it's so small!

Bit like life and my cock pretty small and running out of puff, lol lol lol

Throttle bodies now your talking, won't you need a tanker to follow you around!

The race engines, could you fit one into a Chim, some trackday car.

I don't actually expect anyone to answer these questions but how much hp and torque does the race engines produce?
