Had the misfortune of breaking down in the middle of Bowness on windermere on sunday , very embarrassing, however got recovered to Stratstone Tyne and wear.
After investigation it seems that the petrol pump pressure dropped and sent the car a bit crazy rendering it undriveable cost to replace pump inc labour £926 (ouch) is this a common problem with vantages or have I just been unlucky. Still love the car though had her 4 years.

How many miles have you got on it now?
Are you getting the dealer to fix or are you planning on saving a few bob at an indie?

First time I've heard of it too. I am sure Burntout had a similar thing, but it was a dodgy fuel line, I believe a dealer may have suggested it was the pump... I could have just halluincated that though..

As the car was taken to the Aston dealer and my location, I decided to let them replace the pump as my nearest indie is 120 miles away so it would be a nightmare to organise. My car is a 2006 vantage with 33,500 miles up to date with service and was going in for all discs and pads next week may have to wait now, looks like I am just unlucky.
