I haven't got one but lots of people have got them fitted.

The Paralight version is slightly controversial because its possible to source the same components from Maplins for a much lower price. The Maplins option does involve a higher level of skill on the part of the installer though.

There are other options though. For example, Bamford Rose will install a hardwired alternative for free if you go to them for other servicing or work.

Ask the dealer to open the valve permanently does not cost anything. Secondly I hardly ever drive the car without the Sport button pressed so why would you ever want to switch it off?

Same here but I believe that even in sport mode engaged the valve is closed at lower revs.

I have just received a Logisys remote control unit from America. There was a recent thread about this subject, including a debate about wiring arrangements.

Whether the Paralight unit is the same as the Logisys, I do not know.

LOGISYS RM02 12v 15A relay with remote control kit.
I paid £20 including delivery.

I originally had thought that the valves as standard, were closed until 4000rpm. However, in the recent thread, it was suggested that they are;
open 0 - 1500 rpm
closed 1500 - 4000 rpm
open above 4000 rpm

That would perhaps explain, why I did not notice any change in the exhaust sound at tickover.

Not if you open it permanently
