So I have a bit of spare cash. Probably willing to spend around £30k.

What would you do? Sell my 3R and get something else around £60k?

Or keep the 3R and get something else for £30k?

I have to admit I cannot really find anything I like that I feel would give me a different or better experience at £60k. Not sure it stretches to a Gallardo and am not a fan of a F360. If I did get an F it would have to start at a 430.

I am tempted to get something even less practical like a X-bow and keep the Noble.

Any thoughts?

How about an RS4 or dare I say it M3.

If it were me, I would trade noble in and get an Exige S V6

I personally would go for a Lotus 211. I drove one with 280bhp and it was sublime. Wind in your hair rocket with amzing handling and its soooo light. Very rare to. That will be my next purchase or maybe the new rang rover sport for practicality.

I have come from and Exige and I personally wouldn't pay all that for the new Exige with the same interior etc. Plus the noble has so much tuning potential. A 3r has the same bhp as the new Exige anyway.

I'd love a 2-eleven, that would be a proper trackday toy!

But wouldn't you need an everyday car too? As Bondy said an RS4 would be a good choice. I've just got one and I love it.

Or, how about flog the Noble and get this: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

I agree about the interior, however I believe the car will be more reliable and it won't be long before a reliable SC upgrade to 400bhp.

For me 400 ish is enough.

I do agree about the price though as I would wait to buy one with some depreciation dialled in.

Hoyin, maybe you need to be more specific in what you want from a second fun car. I.e fun cruiser or something for track days or maybe some roof down fun?

You haven't said what you want the car for. A track car would be very different to a grand tourer for example.

Trade your M12 for the blue M400 that's just come up on Pistonheads at Kerridges.

It looks that good that even I'm tempted, but I'm not sure I could justify a second one!

I'd keep the noble and get a convertible Tuscan 2 to have a totally different and very much fun driving experience, a open top tourer with a fantastic noise to sit next to the noble for fast driving.

It's a shame that there's no such thing as a cheap Sagaris Graham! That'd do nicely eh?

Was close for me but I ended up going for the Noble as it was my only car at the time.

This is a toughie. I was having a similar conversation recently about the possibility of moving my small fleet on for a 458 (sadly - or not - the maths didn't work!).

Perhaps ask yourself whether you want to track something, whether you want a grand tourer or whether you need to move the occasional bodies and luggage around. This will help. I find that a fun track car like the Noble + a fast GT like the Pork Turbo (plus the Merc for shopping and bodies) offers a good balance.

Interestingly you know that ladies don't have this issue in life. If you were to pose the same query they would likely respond...

... get a Blue one.

Thanks for the thoughts.

That is the thing - I don't really know what I want.

I was thinking about selling and maybe getting an Aston. But not sure it is special enough. Though I want something different - hence why I don't want a Porsche as I feel it is too similar - perhaps not in the way it drives, but in terms of the type of car.

I don't need a practical car I have no need for one. The Noble is practical enough for me.

Sorry I am not very decisive - it is because honestly I don't know what I want.

Yeah I wanted a Sagaris as well.

But I don't want to sell the Noble to get one. I guess I am just worried about reliability. But maybe they are better than the older TVRs?

Hummmmm ..... maybe I should though ....

You could spend some on your Noble.

Performance upgrade.
Carbon fibre interior.
Rigid brake lines.

The list goes on.

I was in a similar situation a couple of years ago and spent over £25K upgrading my Noble.

More than one person here has swapped their Noble for an Aston - and was disappointed. Maybe just polish your Nob when the weather improves and keep that cash for another time wink
