I thought I would start a new thread as my needs maybe different from others.

I have done a search, but there does not seem to be a lot of information I can gather.

Currently own a Noble M12 3R and looking to get a Sagaris either to replace it or as well. I have only just decided this so my research is starting now.

Not that bothered about the external colour as I will probably respray - but interior should be black perhaps with small colour highlights.

Prefer lowish mileage around 20k no more than 2 owners. Prefer a standard unless they are just simple upgrades to improve reliability. Price - whatever the market value is.

Any pointers gratefully appreciated. Anything I should be aware of? As far as I can tell reliability with these newer TVRs are fine.

Anyone know anything about it?

If it has been looked after, a Sag is just as reliable as any other car really. They really were and are very good cars, and I'm confident that had the Sag been introduced earlier, along with the reliability of the later speed six cars, then TVR's outcome might have been different.

I wouldn't worry too much about interior either as retrims are not that expensive and judging from some of the recent retrims that people are having, I would almost try to find a car with a manky interior, just so that I can get it retrimmed by one of the various guru's out there!

OP, I think you may struggle to find a car if you have strict criteria like 2 owners or less. They are already scarce!

Out of interest what colour would you get one painted?

As Euro Sag says I wouldn't be too worried about reliability there are a lot of the later speed sixes out there with higher mileages without any problems.

hopefully not the kiss of death but mine is nearing 50,000 miles and is still running well, even Dom @ TVR Power has stopped trying to tell me i need to upgrade the engine each time it goes for a service so it can't be too bad.

really wouldn't get too hung up on mileage and number of owners, TVRs seem to vary a great deal when it comes to condition no matter how many or how few miles are on the clock. I would buy on condition and get feedback from the garage that looks after the car.

Bearing in mind you are looking for a car that only just over 200 were built in the first place you are probably going to seriously limit your options if you only want specific colours and interior.

Hope you are succesful in your search.

"Bearing in mind you are looking for a car that only just over 200 were built"

144 tagaxed and UK registered and 15 on SORN at the last count.

I think this sounds reasonable however I would suggest there are a number taxed and just not being used by owners who will never part with them…. 144ish is a very small number of cars.

I know I former owner of that Sag, Bobd is on here every now and again.

Was a great Sag, given plenty of loving care and did the Sprint up Blackpool Prom at the Backhome TVRCC event.

Great car,

People have started to think about them more now, I think the bubble has bust, they will be down to around £37500 soon.

Anyway I hope so, then I would buy one

Me thinks little choice and narrow spec equals a long wait. Mine is not for sale despite someone with too much money offering above market value a few months ago. Guess other sag owners may react differently but can't help but feel that the majority of Sags, not all, are owned by people who regard them as keepers. I bought from a friend who was first owner and he regrets selling, big time, not just for financial reasons, apart from he can't afford one now, but because he misses it's wildness.

Bit like a former wild girl friend.... yummy

Hope you find what you want

The car in your opening post seems to be great value, is there a reason you're not going for it OP?
